I've never been one for summer scarves. To me, a scarf serves the purpose of warming you up and keeping your neck exposed from frostbite which would ultimately leave you unable to move your neck to look down as you paint your nails. Horrendous thought, right? So summer = no scarf needed! Hooray! I always felt like scarves are a noose also. Like the hangman is about to ask me if I have any last words before pulling the lever...we tie them so tight around our necks to keep the cold from running down our bodies (and sometimes even wrap them around our heads and mouths too) that I almost feel like I'm choking to death sometimes! So when I decided to embrace the summer scarf trend I at first found myself fidgeting with it, but ended up ultimately liking it regardless!

Now on to the most exciting part of today's post!
I was recently contacted by a representative at Fox Searchlight Studios about the opportunity to be given tickets to an advanced, pre-screening showing of the upcoming movie "Ruby Sparks". The movie is directed by the same director for "Little Miss Sunshine" - if you saw that and liked it, you'll want to see this movie too! Here's the synopsis:
In RUBY SPARKS, Calvin (Paul Dano) is a
young novelist who achieved phenomenal success early in his career but
is now struggling with his writing -- as well as his romantic life.
Finally, he makes a breakthrough and creates
a character named Ruby who inspires him. When Calvin finds Ruby (Zoe
Kazan), in the flesh, sitting on his couch about a week later, he is
completely flabbergasted that his words have turned into a living,
breathing person.
Here’s a link to the trailer:

Not only will there be seats reserved for my friends and I, but my readers are also being the chance to win free tickets (*see the bottom for specifics on the tickets and location) to see the showing as well AND a grand prize giveaway of the following! (all authentic giveaways from Fox Searchlight Studios, and anyone is eligible for the grand prize - it'd be cool to receive a movie package from Fox Studios even if you don't see the movie, no?!?!) :
- Ruby Sparks Beach Towel
- Ruby Sparks Nail Varnish
- Ruby Sparks Tote Bag
- Ruby Sparks Official Movie Poster
For the tickets, I am giving away FIVE (5) tickets with a guest pass for each (10 tickets total). The only catch is that the tickets are to the movie theater that I am going to as well (sorry, the tickets aren't transferrable to multiple locations). SO if you live in New York/Central New York (Syracuse, Rochester, Utica, Buffalo, etc.) then these tickets would be for you!
To download a pass for you and a guest, visit
www.gofobo.com/RSVP and enter in code WOMENB5XQ. You need to be registered to download a pass, but registration on Gofobo is quick, easy and free. **Seats are first come first served - your seats are not reserved so come early!**
Let me know if you're coming - I'll be there as "Simply Sarah", and I'll see you there!
Hello I am looking to win the grand prize I do not live in New York thanks!!
